Cris and I have been working recently to come up with our theme for the upcoming missions conferences we will be involved in. We usually try to have everything we do tied together to make the most impact and this time I think we’ve come up with the best yet.
Since hardly any of you will be attending the conferences we will be at I will go ahead and spill some of the beans and in effect ask you to start praying for the Spirit’s leading in what He has lead us in. This could be huge and is definitely the start of our focus here in Zacatecas. As most of you know from meeting us in the past, our vision is to work in the outer-lying regions of Zacatecas. We have a dream to see churches planted where they normally wouldn’t be because of the small numbers and because of the hardness of the effort.
Our vision also includes our raising other teammates to include in this effort because we are only human and can only handle so much on our own. During the next months we are going to focus being Alive in your moment. Ephesians 5:15-16 says Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
How will you live in your moment?

This past weekend was a rough one. And the second in a row at that. I didn’t sleep at all Saturday night and into Sunday. Austin and I both caught the 24hr flew and it was a long 24 hours. Poor little Austin is still fighting with it, and hopefully tomorrow he will be through.
Now I’m just praying and hoping that Cris doesn’t have to go through it too. She just doesn’t need that right now.

Cris was feeling particularly restless today, and as you already know we try to get out a bit every day. Today we decided to head downtown and see what trouble we could stir up. We found a little diner that we had lunch in that was way overpriced for the food that we got. We found some singers doing their thing. We were asked for pesos from no less than 10 people and one mostly naked indian asking for donations to help his school. We also met a girl visiting family here from LA. We were going to stop by the downtown Starbucks and have some coffee before heading back home, but Austin was just to tired.
We love the downtown feel. Zacatecas is such a picturesque city with so many ancient buildings and architecture. I’m anxious to do some evangelistic work down there after we get our religious workers visa and are able to do so legally. There are lots of college students down there all the time. Pray about it.
If you’d like to check out more views of our city check out or Zacatecas page in our pictures.
