Can you believe that he’s ten months old! We can’t either. He’s getting so big and growing up so fast. I think it won’t be more than days now before he’s walking. He’s already figured out how to stand up next to our couch and walk around it was holding on. Crystal is for sure that he knows how to say mama, but I told her it wasn’t real talk until he says papa or until she get in on video! That won’t be to long either.
All in all he’s just getting to be a big boy and we’re proud of him.

Here we go again! Just one week to go and I’ll be starting my final trimester for the second time. Hopefully this time we’ll succeed in getting all the way through it without having to take another detour to another country.
We’ll see what happens!
Pray with us as we try to figure out our schedule. Crystal has classes each afternoon while I have class in the mornings. It’s going to be interesting figuring out how to handle everyday life among all the home work and projects that we are required to have done.

Well today was my turn for the hospital. I figured that Crystal has gotten to know so many people at Clinica Biblica that I should take a turn and get to know some as well. Don’t worry I didn’t break anything!
I’ve been needing for quite a while to get a good check up on everything. Clinica Biblica has a great international medical program and it’s very cost effective too. So I spent my day getting stuck and x rayed and check all over.
So nothing compared to all that Cris has been through!

Yesterday was a big day. We went out on the Periferica to Office Depot (O yes, we have Office Depot here!) We went to get some nicer paper for a project we are working on to try to raise our support back to where it needs to be. On our way home, we got stuck in a bit of a rain storm. It is impossible to get a taxi here when it is raining. So we took a detour to Burger King to wait out the rain and get some good american food! When we finished it was still raining as persistently as it was before we went in.
So I told Cris and it was her turn to bust out the Spanish and ask the manager if he would call us a taxi. It took a bit of convincing but she did it, and it worked because we surely got a taxi!
I was so proud of her. Some of you might think that we’ve been here over a year now, why in the world would there still be difficulty with our Spanish?! Well Crystal has been through so much this year and has had everything against her in learning Spanish. I’m so thankful that she keeps her head up, of course she has her downer days, we all do, but she keeps at it and it won’t be to long now before she is speaking with the best of them.

I’m sure you can all imagine that just being here learning Spanish isn’t the most exciting and passionate thing we have to do. We are constantly sitting and dreaming about days in Mexico when we will be able to meet people, make new contacts, build new relationships, watch people come to Christ and grow and desire to serve Him themselves. I dream about being able to check out the villages that are nearby and meet people there, help them with some of their needs, and see how the Lord would lead us to start ministry among them. I am continually thinking about having groups come and do evangelistic work in the city. I can’t wait to do a Judgement House, and see what God would do with that to gain contacts and begin ministry. There are endless possibilities that we could do, but only God knows. We are so anxious to get there, get acclimated and get to work. Still there seems like endless things to accomplish before that happens. We still need to finish our time here in Costa Rica learning Spanish. We will have 102 days from today until we leave. Then we will be back in the states for about three months raising our additional support. We need $800 per month to be fully supported. I’m working on that right now trying to get it all set up. You can help us with this-begin praying that God would direct us to the supporters we need to partner with. Eight hundred per month is really only 32 new supporters at $25 per month.
This is a hard week because it was originally supposed to be when we would finish our time here. We have been here for over a year, and God knew before we even arrived what we would go through and the trials and tests we would have to endure. All the people we started with in language school are now gone, we have said goodbye to new lifelong friends time and time again.
We really can’t wait to just see God do things that we never thought possible. We are ready for Him to bless in Mega Abundance with opportunities and ways for us to express His passion for people.
I said all this to say that God has opened a door for us to be a blessing here in San Jose, and I ask that you would pray with me about it. I can’t really go into detail right now, but God has put two people in our path and I’m really praying about how God would have us to minister to them. I’ll let you know more when I do, but for now just pray that God would use us to bless them and to truly show them the love of Christ.
